A vast array of hopper cars (many invisible) were present in the BC Rail yard at Dawson Creek, BC.
According to its markings, BCOL 829044 is a 5150 cu-ft hopper built by Thrall. However, I believe the notches above the ladders are characteristic of the 5250 cu-ft version, which has less steep end slopes.
CTRW 605321 is a 4550 cu-ft cylindrical hopper.
BCOL 138553 is a Pullman-Standard 4740 cu-ft hopper.
Related, but different in several details, are BCOL 802393 and 802378. These are 4750 cu-ft hoppers built by Trinity from a Pullman-Standard design. They can be told by their less steep end slopes, slightly longer overall length, and 18 ribs that are more closely spaced at the ends. This is a very common type of hopper car.
CNIS NSC 4350 cu-ft hopper 379351. Its interior length (47' 11") is the same as the common 4550 cu-ft hopper, but it is a few inches narrower.
Solitary BCR B39-8E 3909.
At one end of the yard was a three-unit locomotive lash-up with a train behind. Here is BCR B36-7 3604. The yellow showing through on the front handrail is a sign of its ATSF heritage.
BCR B39-8E 1700 in the "Whistler Northwind" passenger excursion scheme. This is the only BCR locomotive in these colours.
BCR B36-7 3613, at the head end of the locomotive consist.
