Locomotives Dimensions - GMD SD40-2F

All the main dimensions I used in my SD40-2F drawings came from a GMD general arrangement diagram, which is the source of all the dimensions listed in this drawing.

Notes:

• The specified location of the dynamic brake fan did not match with photos, which suggested the fan was 1.75" farther forward. I therefore based this dimension on photos and have not listed this dimension in the drawing.
• The truck bolster centers on all HTC trucks are 1.25" outboard of the middle axle on each truck.
• Most of the hood and cab, many of the dimensions, and much of the underframe components are shared with the GMD SD50F.
• The frame thickness, overall length and truck bolster centers are the same as other SD38-2 through SD45-2 models
