Drawing plans are ever-changing, and what's listed here may not be up-to-date.

- New Drawings -
Here's what's currently underway in 1:36:

EMD GP9 series: The GP9 has been introduced in 1:36, starting with CN GP9 and GP9RM units.  The planned inital focus is on as-built and rebuilt GP7 and GP9 units of CN, CP and affiliated railroads.
Late-model GE locomotives: Plans are in place to introduce recent GE locomotives, including new ES-series orders that weren't drawn in 1:55.
Painted locomotives: Work is underway to expand the still very small selection of 1:36 painted locomotives.

- Currently Under Revision -
No drawings are currently being revised.
Revisions remain to be made to early 1:36 drawings (including most GP38, GP40 and Dash-2 versions) to fuel tank size, traction motor cables, rear hood door spacing, radiator intake length and air reservoir tilt.  These changes have all been incorporated into drawings made after mid-April 2008.

- 1:55 Drawing Revisions -

Many 1:55 drawings were revised in the long-term drawing update that started on April 07, 2005.  This only applies to the 1:55 series; 1:36 drawings are picking up at the level of detail where the 1:55 series left off.

Drawings that have a cyan background  were revised from 2005 to the end of 2006.  They are above their original detail level but not up to the latest standards for the 1:55 series.

Drawings that have a sky blue background  are up to 2007 detail standards, which means that as much detail as possible has been included.

How to identify new drawings: Drawings that are up to 2007 detail standards are listed with black text for phase and roadnumber info, with only the model name as linked text.
