-Outdoor exhibit, restoration building
I took advantage of a March 08, 2001 restoration visit to make a partially complete collection of photos from Exporail.  In the shop for restoration was a vintage-1894 combine (mixed passenger and baggage car) and a "doodlebug" diesel-electric railcar, both of which have since been finished.

With less snow on the ground, additional pieces of equipment were made accessible for photos.  Much progress had been made on the combine and doodlebug.

-Outdoor exhibit
These are photos of a steam excursion between Montreal and the museum that was to raise funds for the restoration of CP S2 #7077, which is part of the museum's collection.   Lunch was held at the museum grounds, and I took advantage of the opportunity for a few photos.  SLR M420W #3569 was a recent addition--shortly before my last visit to the museum in 2001, I had been photographing it in revenue service.

-New building
-Outdoor exhibit
With two new cameras (compared to 2001) and a full day to visit the grounds, I took a much more complete collection of photos.  The main exhibition building, which had been under construction in 2001, was long completed by this time.  Indoor photos were taken with a Canon Powershot S45 digital camera, while outdoor shots were taken with my usual Chinon GS-7 camera.

-New building
-Outdoor exhibit (to be uploaded)
Another visit in which I used primarily the Canon S45 digital camera for indoor shots and the Chinon camera for outdoor shots.  I filled in areas I had neglected to photograph in October and took a number of detail photos.  Armed with a tripod, I was able to set indoor shots at 50 ISO on the Canon S45 (compared to 400 ISO previously) with the result that the photos were much clearer.

Subsequent visits are not displayed here--see the "By equipment" sections below for more recent photos.
