Above:
If you think this photo looks fuzzy, think again. This is an unmodified
2400 DPI scan of a 12 x 7 mm section of film--that's less than 10% of the
total exposed area. The photo was taken using Fujicolour Superia
Reala 100, a print film I've recently adopted for its exceptional results.

Equipment
Used
Scanner: HP Photosmart
S20
This is a consumer-level film scanner
capable of scanning up to 2400 DPI. Colour balance, contrast and
shading are accurate. The software allows many possible corrections
or crops, and is easy to use. The scanner does produce some noise
in dark areas, which is why shadow detail tends to be better with negative
film than with slide film.
Camera: Chinon
Genesis GS-7
This is an automatic
SLR camera from the early 1990's that I bought second-hand in 2003.
Reaction time is short, and it will take 1 photo per second. Incorrect
focus or film exposure are extremely rare.
