With the introduction of the 1:36 series in February 2008, the 1:30 series was renamed 1:28--because that's their actual scale.
There currently two versions of the 1:28 drawings: the originals, introduced in 2000, and a new-in-2005 series of more detailed drawings. Originally intended to become a specialized, highly detailed series, the 1:28 drawings have since been replaced in that role by the 1:36 drawings.
